FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does my baby need to be under 12 weeks to get a 3D Casting?
No. Of course it's easier to do a casting before 12 weeks because babies sleep a lot during this period of time, however casting can be done at any age! I've done a range of castings from 3 weeks - 6 years old and all of them are adorable!

How much is 3D casting?

Take a look at 'Sessions and Pricing'. Casting prices starts from £80 but completely depends what you're looking for. I require a £40 deposit on the day of casting and the rest doesn't need to be paid until the collection of your Keepsake.

What if my baby/child moves during the process?

It doesn't matter! Babies and toddlers are unpredictable. I use an alginate which sets pretty fast and is great for those wriggly babies! Just make sure you bring milk, pacifier and toys to keep them entertained. In the rare circumstances that baby is really unsettled during the process we'll arrange to do the castings another day!

I'm not sure if my pet will stay still for a casting. What should I do?

Before booking a pet casting it's best to see if your pet will stay still for it. To do this put your pets paw into a jug of water. They'll need to hold it there for a few minutes and if they do the pet casting should be no problem! If they don't, you might have to keep trying until they get used to it!

Where do I go for my 3D casting?

I work out of the comfort of my home and I have a comfortable space for you to relax whilst I do the casting. Once your booking is confirmed you'll get an email which contains my address and all the details you'll need. I can also travel within a 20 mile radius, extra charges apply.

I've seen a 3D casting  style on Pinterest that I like. Would you be able to do this?
I absolutely love experimenting with casting so if you're looking for something specific please let me know and we can discuss!

When will I receive my casting?

From your casting appointment it will take approximately 4-6 weeks to be ready!

Is it safe for my child?

Moulds are taken of hands and feet using specialised baby skin safe alginate. Being mainly derived from seaweed it is completely safe to use on babies delicate skin (it is also latex free), however if your baby does have any skin problems please consult with your GP first.
